Pirates & Italians

Last night, me and the boys went to Bannigans, an American/Irish restaurant. The food wasn't that good at all, they even have a Cheeseburger Eggroll as an appetizer (WTF is that?). Their dessert menu is A-OK, I tasted something called "Death by Chocolate" and this is its description:

Sinfully tempting Dutch chocolate and nutty rocky road ice creams swirled with TWIX® cookie bars on a crumbled Oreo® cookie crust. And, as if that weren’t enough, we dip the whole thing in rich chocolate sauce. It’s killer!

Afterwards, we went to see Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, and we were hoping to enter the 9:30PM show but it was sold out; even the other later shows at 10:10PM and 10:35PM. However, the AMC Theater’s manager closed the show of theater 14 (actually there are 21 theaters in total) and substituted the Da Vinci Code with Pirates for the increasing demand. The line extended outside of the theater, and it was so worth it. The movie was freaking amazing, no wonder it set a new record for the highest opening in box office history.

A bunch of sweaty Italians running...huh! I guess the girls are going crazy right now

Of course, it would be rude to conclude my weekend review without mentioning the World Cup (although, there are like 50 freaking blogs talking about it already). It was a terrific match and I'm happy that the Italians won the match, but I have to admit, it would have been great to see Zizo concluded his football carrier holding the World Cup. Instead, he finished it with a headbutt that will never be forgotten. It's a classic already.

I think that dessert you described would put me in a diabetic coma. And I'm not even diabetic.

Perhaps it tasted good because many of its ingredients were pre-made classics?

What time did the World Cup game start in the US? Over here, it was at 9PM...I guess I could do the math, but...I'm lazy.

I passed out at half time. :( I really want to see the head-butt. I'm sure they will have it on YouTube soon...

OH! Pirates of the Carribean! I loved the first movie and I hope this one is just as awesome.

The headbutt was a fantastic twist on the game :P I mean what was he thinking...I think this years final will be better known as the-one-with-the-headbutt...
Poor Zizou, what a way to end an amazing career!

@Caff: Why women are attracted to chocolate that much? An unsolved mystery to me. The game started @ 12:00PM in the afternoon. Oh and here's the headbutt if you haven't seen it already

@Aurora: Yes the 2nd movie is way awesome...keep your eyes on it when it hits Kuwait soon. As for Zidane, I think the headbutt have made his retirement very memorable.

@7tenths: Well, in the movie "Chocolate", they described eating chocolate is a sin, so maybe that's why it is "sinful". As for Jack Sparrow, I think he's a superhero in his own world..LOL

@Laialy_Q8: How about Orlando Bloom...sheno mala raab :D

Thanks for the link... :)

But when I tried it, I got this message: This video has been removed at the request of copyright owner FIFA 2006 because its content was used without permission. Yikes! I'll guess I'll have to wait.

Watching that game at noon isn't bad at all! Lunch and a game, all right there... :)

And why do women like chocolate? Hm. I don't know. But I do think it's helpful to know that, just in case you get in any fights with the ladies...

Woman: "You don't love meeeee. Say you love me!"
Man who doesn't want to say 'I love you': Oh, darling. Here, have some chocolate.

Problem solved.

You wanna make the 6 hour drive and come babysit Liam while we go see Pirates? Sounds like we are missing out if we wait for it to come out on DVD... Man!

@Gina: Ya know, I love children but I don't think I'm really good dealing with them. Don't be mad if Liam started to rap or something ^_^

MMmmmm...looking forward to seeing Johnny Depp again.

This post is chock full of good stuff.. just like the dessert you mentioned

@Jewaira: I guess that's another mystery: Women affection to Johnny Deep. Oh and thanks for the "sweet " compliment ^_^

You know I was kidding... I wasn't much for kids when I was single either.

Your site is hard to read today... I reloaded a couple times and the fonts are way light...

@Gina: Yeah I'm still working on it. In the mean time, you can make the fonts look bigger by clicking "View" on your browser and then click on "Make Text Bigger". So sorry sweety, hope that won't be a burden.
